Effectiveness of nerve glides in neuromusculoskeletal conditions: As we discussed in our last blog of RADICULOPATHY, Low back–related leg pain and neck-related arm pain can arise from a lesion or disease affecting the peripheral nervous system. The peripheral nervous system is also compromised in common entrapment neuropathies, such as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and cubital tunnel syndrome or Sciatica. Epilepsy is a common condition that affects the brain and causes frequent seizures. Seizures are bursts of electrical activity in the brain that temporarily affect how it works. READ MOREDr Kayed graduated with honors (magna cum laude) from the University of Evansville in Indiana with a BSc degree in Biology in 1986. He next obtained his MD degree from St George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada in 1990. He next completed his Neurology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, USA where he also served as chief resident.
Thereafter, Dr Kayed obtained subspecialty fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Allegheny University Hospitals (1997) and in Advanced Clinical Neurology / Pediatric Neurology at Jefferson University Hospital (1998), all in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Dr Deeb Khayed is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at The MBRU School of Medicine, Dubai, UAE and Founding member of the Emirates Neurology Society.
